Before the show
Doors at the Marion tend to open half an hour before curtain, which is exactly enough time for one properly-made drink and not enough time for a second one. We open at 6pm Monday through Saturday and 2pm on Sunday, so evening showtimes work and matinees generally don't — worth checking our hours against your ticket before you plan around us.
If you're on a clock, tell us. "I've got twenty minutes" is a useful thing for a bartender to know and we'll point you at something built for it — a Daiquiri, a Saturn, an Old Fashioned — rather than something that takes six minutes and a blowtorch.
After the show
This is the one we'd actually recommend — and the stub in your pocket is worth half off any cocktail, same day, no catch. Downtown Ocala goes quiet early, and we're open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and 2am on Friday and Saturday. When the Marion lets out there's a wave of people with nowhere to put the next hour, and the answer is forty seconds away.
It's a dark room with neon, carved tiki, paper parasols and a black-and-white monster movie running silently on the wall — which, if you've just come out of a film, is either perfect or very funny. Both are fine.
Parking once
Street parking runs along South Magnolia and the blocks either side, with public lots and the garage within a block. Evenings and weekends are free. The practical version: park for the theatre, walk to the show, walk to us afterwards, and drive home once — instead of moving the car twice downtown on a Friday.
We're not the theatre. The Marion is independently operated with its own box office and schedule — check their listings for showtimes and tickets. We're just the neighbours with the rum.
When the theatre does something, we usually do too
The Marion turns 85 on Thursday, September 10, and we're pouring like it's 1941 — a 1941-inspired menu, a complimentary birthday toast when you show your ticket stub, a photobooth, and the after-party once the Aloma of the South Seas screening lets out. Hollywood or Hawaiian finest. Everything we run alongside the theatre lands on what's on first.

Next door. We're at 48 S Magnolia Avenue on the same block — it's a walk of a few seconds, not a drive. You can hear the crowd let out.
Can I get a drink before a show at the Marion Theatre?
Most nights, yes — we open at 6pm Monday through Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. If your show starts at 7 or later you have time for a proper cocktail. For matinees and early curtains we're usually still closed, so check our hours first.
Are you open after the show lets out?
Yes, and that's the better plan. We're open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and 2am Friday and Saturday, so whatever you just watched, there's time to argue about it over a Mai Tai.
